╼ Past Life
↷ So Jin-Ho -- The Protector

» Status: Human
» Protector of the Foxes
» Swordsman, Ex-General
↷ So Jin-Ho had always suspected from a young age that he was destined for greatness. He was a child from a well-off respected family, and came from a relatively peaceful village.
Until war had broken out. Jin-Ho on his path to seize that righteousness that he always thought was his, went off to war, fighting for the honor of his village and his family.
And perhaps righteousness did find Jin-Ho, for his war performance turned heads, it brought attention to him. He became a general, commanding the military affairs and pushing sieges under the pointed tip of his blade.
But even righteousness, has its limits.
A group of enemies had attacked Jin-Ho and his men one night with the intention to kill each and every one.
And they almost did.
Having left So Jin-Ho hanging on to his life by a mere thread, the enemy group had dispersed, thinking they were successful.
Until a Gumiho came down from his mountain to check in on the commotion.
Lee Yeon had saved So Jin-Ho, bringing him back up the mountain to bring him back to health.
Once Jin-Ho had recovered, Yeon thought the human would leave, no need to be on the mountain anymore; that he'd go, get revenge on the enemy.
But Jin-Ho didn't.
He had knelt in front of Lee Yeon on that mountain, and said,
"Foxes always repay their favors. Some humans, do too."
And So Jin-Ho swore that day to Lee Yeon that he would protect the foxes and the mountain.
Until the day he died.
Which, was a dreary day.
Having kept his promise, Jin-Ho was in the village when Lee Rang came and ravaged it, killing everyone in the village, but Jin-Ho.
Lee Rang had told him to put up a fight, to raise his sword and kill him for his atrocities.
And Jin-Ho, sword still sheathed, had replied:
"I refuse to. If killing me aides me in protecting you, then do it."
No matter the circumstance, Jin-Ho had never raised his sword at any of the foxes, not even as Lee Rang had killed him that day in the village.
